COMMERCIAL
We ship our tungsten electrodes exclusively via UPS – fast, reliable and worldwide. Delivery is available to all countries supported by UPS, except countries with applicable embargos.
Delivery time depends on the destination country. Exact shipping times and costs are automatically calculated during checkout based on the weight in your shopping cart. This gives you full transparency about your shipping conditions before purchase.
Since we sell exclusively to business customers (B2B), there is no statutory right of withdrawal. If a return is nevertheless necessary, please contact our customer service via the contact page. We review each case individually and find a suitable solution.
For business customers, there is a statutory warranty of 12 months for material defects (§ 438 para. 1 no. 3 BGB). We do not offer a voluntary guarantee as standard, but can make individual arrangements upon request.
Yes, from a cart value of €1,000 you automatically receive a 2% discount on your purchase. For larger quantities or individual conditions, please use the "Request cart quote" function directly in the shopping cart.
Very simple: Submit a cart inquiry or fill out our contact form. Our sales team will get back to you as soon as possible with a customized offer.
Yes. If you require material certificates or other technical documentation, please indicate this directly in the comment field when placing your order or contact us in advance via our contact form.
Please note that certificates may not be issued retrospectively and may be subject to additional charges.
A so-called 3.1 inspection certificate (according to EN 10204) is an acceptance test certificate in which the actual, batch-specific material properties are confirmed by the manufacturer's quality assurance department. The issuance of a 3.1 certificate may require external chemical analyses; this is subject to the respective electrodes still being available in-house. Any resulting inspection and analysis costs will be charged separately.
Our service team is available by phone during our office hours. Outside these hours, you can reach us easily via the contact form. We are happy to help with questions about products, applications or orders.
SHOP OPERATION AND USAGE
Use our filter function to search specifically by diameter, length, alloy or shape. Alternatively, you can search directly for specifications using the search function.
All relevant technical data is displayed in the product images as technical drawings. For special series like Orbistar®, you will find additional application notes directly on the product page under product properties.
We are happy to offer special lengths or different dimensions. Please use the "Request quote" function directly on the product or fill out our contact form.
For Orbistar® electrodes, one side is already ground as standard. For the Premium Line and Alustar® series, we offer optional grinding upon request. Simply request an individual quote in the shopping cart.
Add the desired products to your cart and follow the steps for address entry and shipping method. Everything is intuitive and self-explanatory.
Before your first order, you must create a customer account. We activate your user account as quickly as possible and notify you by email as soon as you can place orders. Please note: We are legally required to verify your company in advance. We ask for your understanding.
You will automatically receive the invoice by email after shipping. In your customer account, you can view your orders at any time. If you need an invoice again, please feel free to contact us.
TECHNICAL SPECIALIST
Yes, absolutely. Grinding takes a lot of time and distracts from actual welding. From a business perspective, pre-ground tungsten electrodes are significantly more cost-effective as they are ready to use immediately and ensure consistent quality.
This depends heavily on the specific welding application. The choice of electrode is always in interaction with shielding gas, welding parameters and the material. If you are unsure, our application technology team will be happy to help you personally.
Yes and no. There is no electrode that delivers equally perfect results in alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC). A so-called universal electrode is always a compromise. Those who weld professionally in both current types should use two different electrodes – for example Alustar® for AC and WS2® for DC.
Especially in automated or mechanized welding, high dimensional accuracy is crucial. Machines can hardly compensate for fluctuations in the arc. Precisely manufactured electrodes prevent unwanted effects such as distortion or oxidation and thereby significantly reduce post-processing effort.
This happens occasionally during TIG welding. If foreign metal has deposited on the electrode, only proper cutting back helps. The resulting contamination can negatively change the material properties. After shortening, the electrode is fully functional again.
Yes. We offer electrodes with permanent laser marking. Color coding at the end is the established industry standard, but can be perceived as disruptive. Laser engraving is a clean and permanent solution.
The standard lengths of 150 mm or 175 mm are defined by standards. Many users manually halve the electrodes, which can lead to cracks. We are happy to supply custom lengths – simply request them when ordering.
These series differ mainly in their doping and thus in their welding properties. Alustar® specializes in aluminum and AC processes, WS2® and Inostar® are particularly suitable for DC welding on high-alloy steels or nickel alloys. The exact choice depends on the intended use. If you need advice from one of our experts, please simply fill out the contact form and we will get back to you.
These three factors are in direct interaction with the electrode. Shielding gas type, workpiece material and welding parameters influence ignition, arc stability and service life. Therefore, it is important to consider all conditions – we are happy to advise you individually on this.
If you are looking for the ideal electrode for your specific application, we will be happy to assist you. Depending on the base material – for example steel, stainless steel or aluminium – the type of current used, as well as requirements regarding ignition behaviour, arc stability or service life, the optimal electrodes may vary significantly. Simply contact us via our contact form – our application engineers will be pleased to provide individual advice and help you find the technically suitable solution for your process.
